WILDLIFE

Timberline Lodge is located on Long Lake.  The Lake is approximately 40 miles long.

The Lodge is located in Wildlife Management Unit  # 28 and Northeastern Ontario Division 19. The area is a mix of coniferous forest and hardwoods. It is bound by the Quebec border to the East, the Montreal River to the South, the Watabeag River to the West and Lake Abitibi and the Abitibi River to the North.

This area is truly the quiet Canadian Wilderness.

Yours to Explore!

Your canoeing adventure can start 50 feet from your cabin door. On your canoe or wildlife viewing trip you may see otter families playing along the banks of Long Lake, or a beaver working on its dam. Quiet, was that the wail of a loon?

One might see the Majestic Moose, or small game animals like the fox, rabbit, grouse, wolf or coyote. Long Lake is a great lake for a wide range of wildlife viewing or flat water paddling.

Mid August is the perfect time for picking sweet, delicious wild blueberries and raspberries.

Enjoy the rugged wilderness of Northern Ontario at Timberline Lodge for a truly memorable family vacation.
